For several years, Deform has been the chosen supplier of pressure hull heads for the German HDW (Thyssen Krupp Marine Systems), the world’s largest manufacturer of conventional submarines.
The assignment places exceedingly severe requirements on our quality. Thus, it is with great pride that we can report the customer is very satisfied with our stress-free segmented heads in quenched and tempered plate. Despite the hardening process, the segments offer a perfect fit. Deform has already test assembled them with absolutely no spot welding and clamping. Consequently, the customer’s final assembly and welding will be straightforward and problem-free. The Deform:Method has once again proven its advantages!
