Deform record in 3D shaping - 155 mm thick plates
Deform have made hot formed segments in 155 mm thick steel plates for a large European customer. The customer turned to Deform with an assignment that for them felt on the verge of impossible.
We helped early in the process of working out a solution, where we with unique tools and fixtures dared to undertake the task. Of course, we have formed thicker plates before, but then usually simpler 2D shaping. In other words, it was exciting to see how well it would turn out, and how it turned out! The red-hot steel formed exactly as we intended!
We have learned that when it becomes challenging, customers turn to Deform for help. We often gain trust, and we see that customers become recurring after we have done a first assignment.
