Three Degerfors based companies in collaboration!
In December 2023, Deform was commissioned by Tibnor to manufacture three large so-called connection cones for a client, intended for installation at a hydropower station.
This was a challenging project due to the size and tight tolerances required.
To meet the project's requirements, a collaboration was initiated between three companies based in Degerfors:
Deform AB, Elcoline AB, and Outokumpu Stainless AB PSC Nordic. Each company played a vital role in completing the project.
-Deform developed manufacturing drawings, rolled the shells, prepared the joints, and, finally, test-assembled all the components.
-Outokumpu Stainless AB PSC Nordic supplied all the stainless steel material and performed the conical bending.
-Elcoline carried out full welding and machining as the final operation before delivery to the end client.
These three local companies in Degerfors combined their unique expertise, resulting in a highly successful project. The cones were delivered to a satisfied customer during the spring/summer of 2024.
